Solution 1: Change Autoplay Settings

Step 1: Go to desktop and click on This PC. When File Explorer window will open, right click on Removable drive and select Open Autoplay... Option. Now select Take No Action from the menu. Solution 3: Turn Off Windows Media Player features

Step 1: Press Window key + S open Search bar. Type the keyword Windows features and press Enter. Then, Click on Turn Windows feature on or off option from the list. In Windows features Window, navigate to Media features and expand it. Now, uncheck the option Window Media Player.

Step 2: As a result, confirmation Window will open, click on Yes. Finally, click on Ok to save the changes. When done restart the Computer.

Solution 4: Edit Settings in Registry Editor

Step 1:  Press Window key + R to open Run dialog box. Type Regedit and press enter to continue. When Registry Editor window will open, navigate to the following path.

Step 2: Right click MountPoints2 key and choose Export from the Menu. As a result of exporting, a backup file will be created which helps to return to the previous state.

Solution 5: Delete autorun.inf file

Step 1: Insert the Removable storage such as CD or DVD ROM or Disk drive, open it or explore it. If you can access the Removable Disc, click on View menu and turn on Hidden Items option.

Solution 6: Changing the Hard Drive letters

Step 1: Press Window key + X button to open Menu Toolbar. Select Disk Management from the list. Navigate to the Removable disc storage and right click on it. 

Step 2: Select Change Drive Letters and Paths. Again select Change, and opt the desired letter for the drive and click ok. Changing the drive letter may solve your problem.

Solution 7: Use the populate option

Step 1: Navigate to the desktop and click This PC icon. When File Explorer window will open, right click on the Removable storage and choose Properties.
