Switch to startup type and set it to automatic mode. Finally, click on apply and then ok to save changes.

Solution 3: Register the dll format files

Step 1: Press Window key + R to open run dialogue box. Type the code regsvr32 wuapi.dll and press enter to continue.  as a result the dll file will be registered. Follow the same procedure with the following .dll files given below.

wuaueng.dll, wucltui.dll, wups.dll, wuweb.dll, atl.dll, Softpub.dll, Wintrust.dll, Initpki.dll

Step 2: When registering of dll file is done, temporary disable the antivirus running on your PC and check if problem is solved.
